Single episode play mystery bangla natok “Paonadar”. Written and directed by Jewel Kabir, the story follows the life of a gravedigger, Raisuddi.
Raisuddi is constantly haunted by guilt and nightmares. Dirt-poor Raisuddi only sees money when someone in the village dies. His young daughter puts him into further financial trouble when she falls ill. Soon his other daughter, who is pregnant, arrives with her notorious husband.
Incapable of entertaining the constant demands of his son-in-law, Raisuddi lends money from a blind beggar. While his daughter is in her labour pain, a desperate Raisuddi starts showing signs of insanity and starts digging a grave. The plot thickens when the blind beggar turns out to be a C.I.D officer and Raisuddi is arrested for a murder. Is this another nightmare?
Shankar Shoujal plays the role of Raisuddi. Dolly Zahur, Rashid Harun, Arif Hossain, Ribon Khandakar, and Amanul Haque Helal play the other roles in the play.
