
The TV adaptation of Saratchandra Chattopa-dhyaya’s story is directed by seasoned film actress Rozina.
The story revolves around a zaminder and a bhairabi (priestess) of a temple. Before becoming bhairabi, Aloka was married when she was an adolescent. The husband was a drifting youth.
After becoming bhairobi, Aloka is given a new name, Shoroshi. Meanwhile after the sudden death of the local zamindar, an alcoholic, unpleasant relative takes over the zamindari and the story takes a new turn.
Badrul Alam Soud has dramatised Shoroshi. Alamgir and Rozina play the lead roles. Mini series Shoroshi’s first episode aired at 10:00pm on Channel-i on August 1st, 2007.
